Our Annual Juneteenth Celebration is dedicated to honoring our ancestors' rich history, culture, and heritage.
We aim to educate the world about the significance of Juneteenth and its lasting impact on American history.
This year’s Commemorative Souvenir Book tells the powerful story of the day when past and future intersected—when my mother spoke the names of our ancestors, including those who had once been enslaved. In that moment, I realized that my grandparents were the children of formerly enslaved people, making the events that led to Juneteenth feel much closer than I had ever imagined.
Also included are details from my continued research on Juneteenth—the lessons I never learned in school and the untold stories of how the journey to freedom shaped not only my ancestors' lives but also the rights that all Americans hold today.
Through education, storytelling, and community celebration, we honor the sacrifices of those who came before us and commit to preserving their legacy for generations to come.
As we commemorate this historic occasion annually, let us reaffirm our dedication to unity, resilience, and collective empowerment.
